I know that Janet Coleman (interviewed above) would also remind us all that full community input is needed for the East End Area Plan, but that it doesn’t stop there. A very important way for the community to have a voice both in this particular process and in the the general day-to-day life of the neighborhood is for folks to be involved in their local neighborhood associations. Please join us for the next regular meeting of the William Wells Brown Neighborhood Association, this Thursday, June 19th, at 6:30pm at the Phillis Wheatley Center (the old Chestnut St. YWCA). Speak your mind… know your neighbors… make a difference!
The residents are like the one who really knows the situation so badly. So if we want to have a survey of information regarding problems in a certain place, asked those who knows best---the friendly residents.

I’ve heard a lot of comments regarding Thursday’s event at Charles Young. Its interesting to hear the varying comments. One thing I believe is important to remember is that the East End Plan cannot be created successfully unless we have full community input. Now is the time to speak up about East End. Don’t wait on someone else to say what you may be thinking. Just say it! Its your community and this is your plan.
